Saw a guy on the Interstate today with the cool Carbon backpack. Got to thinking.

For those who use their bike as primary transportation.... Yes some of us don't have cars.

Do you back pack ? Tank Bag ? or just walk around in our boots and gear all day.

What do you guys use to carry your daily essentials... lunch, sneakers, laptop etc?

i either use a medium size magnetic tank bag ( from cycle case???? i think) or if i have more than what will fit in the tank bag i will carry a Fox Racing backpack. Have used both for longer (more than one day) rides.

I also have a locker at work and a desk area to keep my gear in once at work, so i actually leave a pair of shoes and a hat and some clean socks now in my locker so i can take my A* boots/tall socks off when i get in and don't have to walk around in them all day (walk a lot at work, that would be exhausting wearing the boots around all day).

As for my lunch, i usually bring in a box of granola bars at the beginning of the week and that's my breakfast and lunch for the week. Have it down to only really needing the tank bag unless its cold out and i will bring the backpack with me to carry extra clothing home from the morning commute.

Luggage Locker dot com : elite seat sack.

But this company recently went out of business. The quality of their work is AMAZING, but because of the way the president is "helping" small businesses, he had to shut the doors.

Backpack. Totally waterproof, comfortable even when loaded. This one:

The only other backpack I considered is the A* one that takes the back protector. It was a hard choice, but I already have a back protector in my suit (not as good as the A* one though), and I ride in the rain from time to time so really waterproof was a +.

I keep extra shoes at work, so I don't wear the SIDIs all day. My 1 piece Aerostich suit (with all optional hard armor) goes right on over work cloths (luckily for me, jeans and T-shirt).

As as matter of fact, pack is loaded, and I'm about to leave for work now. 20 miles, mainly back roads.:)

Ogio makes a bike bag called the No Drag - Mach 5. It is probably the carbon you saw, and it is the only bag I use when riding. It has a visor bag inside that is perfectly placed, show straps for extra shoes, and has a ton of room lots of other stuff. Extremely aerodynamic, and has a nice front pouch for quick/easy access to things like your phone/wallet/etc.

Backpack with my work pants, lunch bag and sometime work shoes (if I dont leave them at my desk). I wear jeans when I ride, so I just goto the bathroom and change into the Business Casual crap. Change back at the end of the day, put my boots back on and squeak my way outta the office.

This sounds EXACTLY like what I do. Until I de-squeaked my boots.

Sent while riding my R6. o_O

I use a jansport backpack, usually just have lunch and work clothes. If I go out I just wear my boots all the time.

I leave my work shoes at my desk and commute with my A*'s and my leather jacket.

I use the A*s tech aero back pack.... Decent water proofing but I have some complaints on regarding its rain "cover". It has more than enough room for all my crap.... I've done a couple of long trips with it ....it was comfortable enough.

my regular school backpack, pack my lunch, go to work, change into my Nikes from my boots, work it, and then go to school or whatnot.

Use a basic oakley backpack to put my laptop/books in.

I use both bike and car to go to school and work. All depending on the weather and the season.

I use a backpack, the ICON Squad II. Decent enough, but I do like the reflective pieces on it as I am normally riding in the dark becasue I start work early normally. It fits a full set of my Combat uniform (daily work uniform) andmy work boots, tablet, lunch etc.

Never had a problem with it and its actually very comfortable. I normally just change at work into uniform because the Combat pants dont really provide any protection if I went down (NOMEX not KEVLAR), be good if I was in a fire though....lol.

I've only had a chance to drive my bike once to work before putting it away for winter. I used a normal backpack to put my work clothes, shoes, lunch, and work stuff in it.

I didn't have anywhere to put my helmet in my classroom, so I had it on the counter behind my desk. My middle school students were talking about my bike all day. Gained some "cool teacher" points. :)
