Woodcraft Rearsets - GP to Standard

Hi

I know that a Standard set of Woodcraft Rearsets can be converted to a GP shift without any extra parts, but will that work in reverse?

Rather, can a set of Woodcraft rearsets purchased as a GP set, be converted to a Standard set, without extra parts? Or even WITH extra parts? If so, what is needed to go from GP to standard, if anything?

Thanks very much

- H :)

Haha, good idea. Will do.

Because racebike

race bike, street bike.. why would it make a difference to call Woodcraft directly or not? Eric and Jeff are top national racers, they will be able to assist you for sure. And the shift pattern doesn't care if a street or race bike. Use what you like. My point was that you stated in your first post, you were switching with no parts needed. So why would you suddenly need parts to switch back?
I think what Mercenary is saying, is that the race kit (GP) is different to the standard kit. I'm guessing you can change standard to GP, if you start with the standard set, but when you start with a GP set, it's not equipped to convert to standard. Of course, if you start with GP, and then change to standard, you could change back.

i would be very surprised to see any top company, like woodcraft, require different parts to go from gp to std. Any r6 can simply have the shift arm that is on the engine shift shaft reversed and turned over to change pattern. This is assuming you have the shift rod on the outside of the frame already.. I run standard, if i needed to switch to gp i could just loosen the 10mm head bolt and flip the shift arm. boom. It's now moving the engine shift arm in the opposite direction ..

it is possible there are different kits, but that is why it would be best to call woodcraft directly vs. get 3 pages of speculatin :)

That's the move Harry!!!

Like Greg said, you can call woodcraft. Tell em you're one of my customers. I remember last time I was speaking about this with Jan, she told me they were one way or the other.

And I doubt you'll get Eric on the phone for a basic sales/support call. But Kiera, whalen, and Jan are an excellent resource on all the products. They all know me pretty well and would be eager to assist you. :fact

If you do need anything for some reason, lemme know!
