I don't know if I am just noticing it more (probably the case), or if there are a lot more members doing trackdays now than when I joined. So how many have you done?

I voted 12-20 but I am not sure of the exact number. Probably a little over a dozen plus another maybe 6-8 in my Miata.

Have 7 days I am planning for Buttonwillow next year with Let's Ride. Plus, hopefully we can do an R6 forum day at Chuckwalla. Plus a few Socal Supermoto days. :YEA

I saw someone in the wet on my way to work in a miata and thought of you. Specifically when the driver RIPPED 2nd gear and the ass end wagged out a good foot and a half!! I was like, ahhh I see the fun in em now for SURE!!! At summit point, i watched an ALL miata race. that was pretty sick!

At some point I'd love to race and win... That may take a year, or a few... Either way I'll be out there having a blast and getting better each time! I'm hoping my learning curve is shorter, but who knows. We shall see how it all plays out. By the time I'm Amateur going Expert, I hope I'm winning somewhat regularly. But that all remains to be seen. In a couple years I'll have the salaried job to really support this hobby... Till then, I'm going to make the best of it! Almost have the bike perfected to my liking, now it's time to perfect my skills. :fact

:cheers
Bro, If you're planning on racing in any organization that's reputable and the license will transfer around, you need MAD novice points before you even eligible! It's not gonna be easy too. If it's anything like here, we've got cats who are in the ROOKIE races who are a few seconds off AMA. This season the novice supersport classes got ridiculous and people were running mid pack AMA supersport times in NOVICE.

Get that seat time bro!!! You DEFINITELY have the heart!!

did 24 td's this season, only missed 1 day out of the 2012 schedule with my local club, and that was due to a concussion keeping me off the bike from a crash I had.
Man, I almost forgot about those two crashes in one day man. Had me BUGGIN out bro. I wish i did more TD's this season vs starting a business and sponsoring an expert/pro, etc. But someone had to win on my bike, and I knew it wouldn't be me. :laugh

Plus getting into two on track collisions this year and the second being the day before my first race I was pretty discouraged. I've got to be close to 20, but more than like am under 20 still. :/

My first year at it, really only got the bike track'd out a few months back... Got 3 diff weekends in. The first was a total bust, I was leaking oil. The second weekend was tits, but first session out I highsided like 3-4 laps in... It was rough, spent the day rebuilding, got back out the rest of the afternoon. 3rd weekend out was an absolute blast, and finally had a completely successful weekend! It was also a race weekend, So saturday I practiced all day and got my race license, then Sunday I raced. It was a ton of fun! Came in 4th my first race. The others, were full of FAST amateurs, so I was coming in somewhere 7-10 range... :laugh

Next year I'll hit it early and often! Hoping to really build up my skills and hopefully be competetive! I'm also planning on venturing out to other tracks as well next year. A trip to Cali is in the works, and possibly heading east to hit a track or two in TX, possibly NOLA... We'll see how it all plays out. With a track just over an hour away, I think next year will be a very fun year! I'll be there every weekend I can be!

This track thing has DEFINITELY grown throughout the forum! :fact

I'm glad it did too, because I'd prob be dead at this point. I'm sticking to the track... Doubt I'll ever ride two on the street again...

:cheers

My goal in life is to do well enough in one CCS event to win contingency money so I can tell people I get paid to race :D

I'm hoping to be fast enough to be competitive by Spring 2014. I'm still way too slow, but I've only done 4 events. Next year I'm stepping it up.

2012 was my first time at the track and I only did 6 days. Hoping to do at least 1 weekend a month in 2013 kicking off the season at Road America in May.
When I bought a wrecked bike in 2009 I rebuilt it back in street trim. What a dumbfcuk idea that was. Between the amount of money I put in to make it street worthy and then what I've done this year in track trim, I'd have a VERY nice track bike. :nono

change that asap, you wont regret it.
1st was Oct 2011, 5 since. I've gone solo and met new people at the track, brought friends that hadn't seen the track in years back out, and a newb too. Poor guy low sided his 2010 ZX10 on the 2nd session of the day.
Daytona in March is looking good :toocool: :flex:
track days are awesome memorable experiences with all types of friends. Last year the small group we had at Jennings was a lot of fun... i hear Daytona is real fun to ride, have you been there before?
