So... Quickshifters

Do you use them? Which brand do you prefer/recommend?

I'm definitely looking to get one this winter for next season, but there are a lot of options. I have a 06 R6 with PCV/AT... but want to know if anyone likes/dislikes the Power Commander add-on or if they prefer/use another brand. I prefer an all-in-one package in stead of having to buy the sensor, shift arm and QS expansion separately.

There's also the

stand alone Bazazz QS4

We believe he is referring to the OEM shift rod setup on the R6. It is very unusual, as as far as modern bikes goes, different then everything else including the R1.

So if you have stock footrests, you need two sections of shift rod to work with the strange setup Yamaha gave you.

If you have aftermarket rearsets, every kit we know of does away with Yamaha's wierdness...

Do you have stock footrests, or aftermarket rearsets?

Let us know, or email us at info@annitori.com, and we will sort this quickly with you.

I use the HM quickshifter.

functionality I think it's no different than other qs that cuts ignition, but I like the slim metallic body (google it) and also the option to add a downshift option the day if I go to a full programmable ECU.

not to mention the whole thing just looks classy :)

I'm about to order my Annitori quickshfiter....... just waiting for them to confirm the shift rod length I need.

Did anyone have to buy the 8mm-6mm female to male thread conversion rod as well?

Edit: confirmed..... I needed the link conversion rod. Annitori rods are 6mm on both ends, the stock R6 rod is 6mm on the top and 8mm on the bottom. So because I use the stock rod I needed a 90mm rod plus the 6m-8m conversion rod.

Anyway, it's ordered and on the way! They even refunded $27 for the combined shipping of everything. About $350 for the rod, converter, QS and shipping.

I use the flash-tune one, controlled by the ECU without the need for any external box, can do the fueling too as well as remove emissions and speed restrictions with flash-tune. The sensor is super smooth, as good as HM and translogic that I have used in the past.
