Hello all I currently have a 2004 R6 and I'm needing a new set of tires thanks to my front being almost bald in the middle. I am trying to find a tire with a nice hard center with med/soft on the sides for riding in the mountains, but I also need them to be able to warm up kind of quick. I have Michelin Pilot Power tires on it now and they are a good tired but when I go riding on the weekends (Palomar Mountain for those Socal people) They sides just don't get sticky enough. Thanks for your time!

I think now that I look into things I will get the Power pures. And I have rode my friends bike with Q2's and I really do not like the tire.. It has good traction and gets nice and warm quick, just don't like how quick you "tip" over or how quick it falls going into turns..

From what people are telling me the Power pures will have the tip effect more than the tires I have now but not as bad as Q2's, so depending on how this set goes I might switch to Q2's. I am only going to be in Socal until mid April then its off to Washington State, and I don't think there is as good of riding up there even during the summer months.

I've got a near new set of 2ct's coming off my bike tomorrow if you're interested. Half a track day on them. Replacing with something more track oriented. But I Loved the 2ct's on the street! :fact

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

basically all in all this my 4th set of tires and 3rd set of michelins. 2 sets power 2ct and 1 set of pilot power. 1 brief stint with dunlop q2s. the michelin tires are amazing. night and day difference. i love the profile of the tire and the way they "fall" into turns and easily allow you to switch direction. the 2cts are nice and the softer sidewalls warm up quicker and provide nice grip. what i like best about michelins is the fact they give you warning when your about to step out as well. i rode dunlop q2s for 2 weeks and hated them they felt unresponsive and didnt like the profile at all never could get comfortable with them.

I'm about to go in right now with my bike and get a set of 2CTs, getting them put on and balanced and all for 300 bucks with me bring them the bike. I will have to let everyone know on sunday night how they hold up this weekend. Thank you everyone for your inputs!

see thats what its about. its that "fall" i was talking about. u have to get used to them because of profile its ovb considerably different. the tires just glide through turns with ease. just be careful for awhile get used to them and make sure you check your tyre pressure.
