Yeah, I pulled the sticker off a while ago so nobody would know lol. I bought the bike with this exhaust on it. Cant really afford to get a different one. Ill try calling them and see what happens.
2brothers sells garbage. Notice how real exhaust companies use "slip couplings" because they know a weld wont have the longevity/service life on a part that heats/cools like a header.
The only stress on the exhaust was from the can dragging when making right hand turns because of their shitty design not allowing for enough ground clearance.
I didn't say that is what caused your break...I said it was a possibility. Now ya know when you get your new system.
All systems can break, but for you to tell others not to buy a certain product just because yours did is a stretch. Out of thousands of systems, I am sure yours wasn't the only one but still a small percentage of the total.
Just trying to help.
While Im not a huge fan of two brothers, I think its getting some gixxer syndrome assigned to it here. They aren't the worst, and like Tdub said, everyone makes mistakes. When I got the Akra Evolution for my 636, they had left out the package of springs. I contacted them and they didn't handle it all that well at first, but in the end, when I provided the date of purchase and the receipt, they made it right by sending me out a set, free of charge or shipping. It only took them about 3 weeks to arrive. And that was a system that goes for about double what the average 2 Bros. system costs.
And to those that havent seen headers break at the weld, it happens. I saw a 1098R blow a large chunk of the upper primary completely off the motorcycle. The part was recovered and rewelded (ugly) so the guy was able to complete the trackday. That was a full titanium Termignoni top of the line system for the top of the line Ducati Superbike (at the time outside of the D16RR). The point is, anything can happen.
Buy whatever works best for your budget. Prices of pipes dont reflect just the materials cost. Labor, R&D, overhead, necessary profit margins to stay afloat, etc all come into play when a company prices an exhaust. Ive had a few exhausts, and I can say without question that I am very happy with Akrapovic quality and performance, even if customer service is a little on the slow side.... But then, try to get parts for Gilles anything...:laugh
