Question about a few issues.

I just have a few questions about some issues I noticed and hopefully someone here can help.

First thing is I have a 2009 R6 with about 3100 miles on it. I have noticed when the bike starts and is idling the rpm needle bounces very slightly. You can even hear it, is a tiny bit of rpm bounce normal, I never noticed it before.

The other question is regarding the battery. I started noticing after a ride my battery stopped being charged to a voltage of 12.4 (I have a Scorpio alarm that tells me the battery voltage when it arms). And now it seems to completely be drained in less then a week and only charges to 12.0 volts now after a ride. I have only had the bike for a year now so it seems a bit odd the battery would be dead already. Could this be anything else? I wouldn't think so since the bike does charge the battery but just not to the level it use to charge to.

Thanks guys

the battery could be toast. You say you had the bike a year, but how old is the battery?? it's an 09 bike. Also, use a multi meter on the battery terminals. you have to have 14vt when holding 5,000 rpm. ANY less, and the stator could be going. Not 13.5, not 13, not 13.7.. you need a solid 14vt at 5,000 rpm. The battery won't be charged below 5k.
