Hey All,

Does anybody know if the USA 03 R6 Guage cluster can be switched back and forth from MPH to Km/h. I have a canadian bike and it appears if I cannot do this. I have done some research and it shows that in a service manual that I found online that UK bikes can do this. I was jus wondering if anyone knows if the USA bikes can. Or if anyone can try it that has a bike in the USA. The only way that I found that this can be done is:

turn the bike to on... not running. and hold the select and reset button for two seconds and it should switch.

I have heard a lot of people say that you could but no one has actually confirmed that they have done it and it works.

Thanks,

yea my 03 can change from mph to km/h, it has the stock gauge as far as i can tell.

i know ive read about this problem somewhere and the bikes for Canada are the only ones that cannot change because you guys have the ability to change into the French language.. if i remember correctly.
Look on ebay for a US gauge would be your best bet if you really need it.

ok perfect... good to know. If anyone else that is in the USA and knows for sure it would be great to know. Thanks for the response it is appreciated. Did you try it on your bike? Did you hold the select and reset button for two seconds?

Thanks all. It must just be the Canadian ones that don't change back and forth.

Canadian bikes do not change from Mph to kph. If you ride in the states a lot its not to hard to figure out. 15=30, 30=50, 50=80, 60=100,75=120.

The Speedohealer instructions do say that it can change from Mph to kph and vice versa.

I've never had an issue riding in the states with my bike in kph. If I had it in mph it would probably mess with me and I'd be thinking "why is my bike so slow all of a sudden?" and I would go 100mph in a 60 zone, thinking that I am in kph.

Ok great... good to hear that people that have made responses has actually tried it... I just find it wierd that the canadian bikes wouldn't change back and forth but the USA bikes would. It doesn't make sense to me why they would build two different clusters when the one works in both anyways.

My 2003 R6 is Canadian and I can switch from MPH to KPH. It wont be displayed in french, but still I'll have the KPH.

BTW: Temperature don't switch from F to C either. If your cluster shows temp in F, it'll always will.
