Oh yeah that one is huge! I used to get that all the time now I don't ever turn off the headlights so the single running light never comes up. I don't really see a point in turning the headlights off anyway if anything it would make you more visible.
Headlight out is such a popular one and I usually respond with a stupid answer to see their face.
"Is it fast"
Do a wheelie! / do a burnout! - stupid kids most times
"That's a sportbike, right?"
"Not ready for a Harley?"(Usually from someone that outranks me that only rides once a month anyway)
"When are you going to graduate UP to a Harley?"(I hate this one)
Do you have an extra helmet?
NO, this bike doesn't have a rear seat or even headlights for that matter.
So I can't come for a ride?
NO, I'm sorry. I'll come back later with the other one with seats. :laugh
OR, from most of my local friends who don't ride but know me well:
I thought for sure you'd have a 1000 by now. What's the hold up?
I surprisingly have never been asked about the single headlight. Not specifically about the R6, but my all time most common question is, "Aren't you hot in that suit?"
My prepared answer is "Sweating hurts less than bleeding"
I actually got hassled by a kid in a Mazdaspeed 3 once. Impressive cars, I've driven one, but needless to say that was over quickly... hehe
when i had my ninja 250, this lil mexican guy asked me, with a striaght face, "is that a hayabusa?" not joking. it was hard not to laugh in his face. i said, ohhhh no, and turned the other way so he couldnt see me laughing.
i get a ton of, "you're going to kill yourself" comments...
Them: Yo, don't you think you seriosuly need new tires!l? They are old!
Me: no I don't, I actually use the whole tire unlike you.
