I just got a 00 R6 about a week ago. Ok to the point. The guy who sold me the bike told me that the choke was this knob on the right side of the bike just under the frame. But I looked on the owners manuel and it says there's a lever type thing on the left grip. Mine is broke off or something cuz its not there. Is there a way to get and new lever and hook it up to work as its suppose too??
Try one of these sites bikebandit.com cheapcyclegear.com. when i was building my 85 gs550 those sites helped me out a lot to figue out what ws missing on my bike.
I am pretty sure the idle adjustment is under the right middle fairing within reach when you're sitting on the bike. Choke is on left by light switch in your bike

the knob above the clutch cover is idle adjustment. the lever attached (or in this case broken off) to your light control module on the handlebar would be the choke.
