I got tired of the gigantic box hanging under my bike and figured i could use shedding the extra weight. Before this i had an all stock (performance wise) setup besides a mgp growler slip-on which i loved. i saw plenty of midpipes all over the web, and even the 05 header swap, but i'm a mechanic and tight when it comes to money, so i made my own. I snagged some random exhaust pipes from our scrap pile at work and started cutting.
Yeah welded, and it's titanium header wrap, did it to keep a little extra heat off the oil pan, and to make a hotter area in the y to pull exhaust out, is it necessary? Maybe not, but in theory it helps
forgot to add that i also put on a -1 front sproket last night also, just went for a test ride and its like night and day compared to before.i have a video of the new exhaust but cant really figure out how to upload it.
Tuner is in the mail right now, it definitely runs better, but needs a little work, no check engine lights either, deffintately worth the time to do it.
Yeah I was skeptical of the mgp at first but I got a killer deal on it from our parts rep, and I'm really pretty happy with it, any ideas on what map I should run?
I was really surprised at how good it sounds, I have a juicebox pro on the way, which I was told accept pc maps right? I'm a tech at a Yamaha dealership so I have plenty of time at the shop to tune but with no dyno, where is your map rich at?
There are a couple people here on the thread that flash mostly ChiefSmokeDawg does some ****ing amazing work. Btw I'm sure you've been told the Juicebox is dogshit already lol. His flash will make your bike night and day difference too.
