Well, it's official! I'm headed to the track this weekend! This thread will host all my trackdays and have plenty of pictures and videos from all the trackdays and races that I will be doing for the un-forseen future!
This weekend looks like a two day track weekend, which may also include an endurance race... We'll see, a few teams need riders... Idk if I'll be up to it after two almost full days on the track, and then try and participate in an endurance race...
Wish me luck this weekend! Any advice is appreciated, and a list of what to bring would be great! Taking a camera and two GoPro's so I should get plenty of great footage!
Overall, had an awesome weekend! There were just a few bumps along the way...
Friday leaving my neighborhood... This kid came flying around the corner...
Then we finally got on the road the road to another buddies house... Where we did some MAN SHIT all night getting different bikes ready for the weekend...
Then we loaded up to head out!!!
Got to the track about 4 a.m. and downloaded quick...Then got up ready to rock and roll!
Then Sunday rolled around... After practice Saturday... TIME TO RACE!!!
Pics and vids of the practice day and race day will be uploaded soon... Finally had a photographer at the track too! So those pics will be up when I receive them!
Had soooooo much fun this weekend, and brought it home in one piece!
Yeah Eric, I had a blast man! Can't wait to get picture's from the photographer and my videos uploaded!
For my first race, I don't think 4th is too bad... :laugh
The other races idk where I placed, but had several people finishing behind me... So overall, not bad... But no trophies or anything like that... Maybe next time!
Yeah I'll definitely find out. I know some of the expert racers were getting handed checks along with there awards. Everything I was in was Amateur so nothing but plaque's were handed out for those races... It was a blast though!
Adam wasn't racing in a club level because the local club is CMRA out here and it doesn't cover Adam's track. Plus Adam still has his kick stand and don't think his bike is safety wired so it was probably just a local race for that certain organization, a mock race so to speak.
On another note, I can apply for a CCS license since I have a CMRA license, Ant. CCS races down here as well as your NJMP.
Bike was safety wired and tech'd for the races. Kick stand didn't matter. Course I was only eligible for amateur races... As for CMRA and all that, I'm not sure what the club is called out here, but I'm sure its on par with CCS and CMRA. Thanks for takin a big ole' dump in my trackday thread tho bud... :laugh
Here's my first race ever! Got a terrible start... but still came in fourth in the end... With a nice pass after eyeing this guy for a lap or so... :cheers
The other race and practice sessions are uploading...

Photographer is posting the pics... I'll have to wait until my disk arrives to post them all up... But here's a few... She's got plenty more she's uploading... I'll update when I get mine on disk... Not too bad lookin though!
You look alot better man. You definitely smoothed out some since your last update. One piece of advice I have for you is that you were in really low revs in ALOT of turns. You can pick up a lot of speed coming out the turns if you were a gear lower.
Thanks man! I know I can pick up speed pretty much everywhere... carry more speed into turns, maintain, and coming out of most of the turns... That's a big reason I run the camera's, so I can see what I'm doing wrong... I can def get faster though. Thanks for the feedback tho!
I thought so. Course I was just happy not to come in last... :laugh
The three guys ahead of me had raced before. That was literally my first ever race... got a late/bad start, but caught up to the guy ahead of me and passed him at least, so I was happy...
Honestly never knew I could get away with that... I've always used it riding street for years. I'll definitely upgrade my game out there... Slowly building and learning.
Watching my vids, for the most part I had much better lines this weekend. Just need to add speed now. A couple turns I brake/downshift a bit too early, and sometime's brake too hard... So it's just something I need to work on. That, along with a bit more lean, body off the bike and I'll be set!
Thanks for the feedback fellas! More pictures are being posted, and I should have my disk soon. So I'll post them all up when I get them. I'll leave you with this for the time being...
Yeah a lot of guys are running some crazy gearing at that track. I'll prob pick up a rear with +4 and keep the front the same and see how it works... Pretty short track that's for sure!
Here's another race practice video. I've got better views of the races and practices Saturday but won't have my GoPro's until this weekend. So these will have to do for now...
Also got some more picture's posted on the photographers site that are pretty cool... I'll have to wait to get them all in the mail... But I'll leave this for now...
First Race ever... Took 4th... :| The shot's weren't too bad though. Wish the photog would have varied it up a bit. But happy to finally have pics of myself out there on the track! Enjoy...
PASS... :sing
2nd Race Ever... Amateur Race... Passed the same guy in the first lap that I did the last lap of the first race. :laugh
Thanks Ram! That's the kink.... Loooooong left hander called the carousel, into that right hander at about 80mph roughly... Body positioning is getting there...
I could teach you the lines of the track, then you'd prob blow my tires off... :laugh
This track is tight and technical, and almost every turn a LATE apex... It's hard being patient for the turn in, but the later the apex, the better the drive out of almost EVERY turn. Took me awhile to learn that... Had an expert teach me some killer lines and was out there doing MUch better. I was always over anxious taking each turn and taking them hard and early, but the set-up for the next turn was terribowl... :laugh
:cheers
Def come on out, Anyone is welcome. Super cheap trackdays and a great crew out there! :fact
Just noticed the dude in the background of that pic Ram quoted too... I was puting some DISTANCE between us, and gaining ground on guys in front of me in both races. Just got TERRIBLE starts both races... To put it Frankly, I had no idea what I was doing on the race starts... :laugh
It was... UGLY... Spent both races trying to catch the fast ass dude's... Oh well... I think I'm progressing nicely...
Look at the size of the rear contact patch on that Pirelli!!! Tell me how that isn't a good thing people!!?? :lmao
Nice work Adam!! Move the dam go pro so you can get into a full tuck. That thing is gonna be all in your way once you start getting your BP more aggressive. That thing is where your helmet and chin should be on the straights!
Right?! These tires are soft! Couldn't really FEEL the rear as much squating like that but def felt the front when breaking. They's squishy! :fact
Such great tires! And... I know I know, that GoPro has got to go. I kept hitting my head on it in the tuck. It's just such a gret point to shoot vids from... :laugh
Thanks bro! Just a couple more little things and my bike will be the perfect track machine! :fact
