Stahlbus Drain valve - Initial thoughts

So after keeping it in my garage for almost a month, finally got around to installing it along with the regular oil and oil filter change. Oil filter was a bish to get off (previous owner prolly loctited that $hit). Anyways, got that done.

The bolt size for this is 20mm I think, stocker was 17mm. So After getting a deep well socket for it, I got it on, 25ft.lbs. OEM recommends 31 ft.lbs, but that would easily strip the pan, so I went with 25 ft.lbs. When I get to safety wiring stuff, the safety wire ready cap will go on. As of now, the regular cap is on.

It went on pretty smooth, no issues. I only used the copper gasket that came with it. Cant really comment on how it works till I change the oil next time.

Onto installed pics: (poor quality, cell phone pics)

dirty hands and DSLR dont go well together

I'm not done yet, it started to hail here from the storm, so I headed back home. I'll get to the garage and see if I can snap a few pics on my D5000, nicer camera, poor skills

Yup...ima get me one of these for the S1K...

There's a curtesy hole () in the lower part of the fairing for access to the drain plug on mine...this would work perfect
