Re: [RENDER] 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 Concept

I like what you've done here, but something really needs to be done with that hideous exhaust. Something more stealthy like the Taylormade design :

CCS Racer #379

01' Champions Limited R6 (retiring from racing)
88' GSXR 750 (recently restored)
02' R1 (sold)
07' R6r (race project)
04' Zuma 50cc (have to get around in the pits)
01' XR70R (sold)
??' 50cc air cooled pocket bike (dangerous!)
99' CR125R (sold)

Re: [RENDER] 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 Concept

I like it mostly! The front reminds me of 07-08 R1's though...

Proud winner of April 2013 ROTM with a bike that no one likes!

Re: [RENDER] 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 Concept

i like lots of fairing. the previous model looks more racy. why not just copy the GP fairing and adapt it to the R6. saves alot of messing around. the current r6 fairing is still the best on the market, so lets change it ??, stupid idea overall

Yep. It's been the best looking on the market for the last 6 years, too. Time for a change.

Things I am sick of explaining on this forum:
  • What's the difference between an R6 and an R6s? HERE
  • Should I start on a 600 or a 250? HERE
  • How do I ask the forum a question and actually get an answer? HERE
  • Where do I find a map for my Bazzaz? HERE
  • Should I get a 520 kit for MOA POWAH? HERE
  • How does rotating mass work? HERE

Re: [RENDER] 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 Concept

While it's obvious you spent a lot of time on it, it doesn't scream at me how awesome it is. Yamaha is known for radical redesigns, that's just kinda changing a few things. The side fairings are too plain (like the cbr600rr), the tail is just a copy of the last 6 years, the headlights don't go with it at all. LED's similar to the Panigale would be cool. It needs sharp angular racy fairings. Integrated blinkers are of course necessary. The exhaust is gonna be ugly, all OEM ones are. I think Yamaha is gonna try and go more towards the R1 with the next R6, crazy looking and very distinctive. I really wish they'd make a 750cc with a combination of looks from the R1 and R6, but I'm not gonna hold my breath for that.

Dude this concept looks rawsome. Good Job. It does justify 2014 model look. Yamaha should hire you as one of their design team player

I`ve decided to modify shape of front headlights, where full-LED`s should be available as option, side panels are changed with simplified color scheme and blinkers are now integrated in mirrors.
Main goal of this R6 redesign is to make whole bike more aggressive, with more MotoGP association, but still with noticeable R6 lines.

Since this is teaser for my final render in high resolution, feel free to give your comments & critiques what should be changed/modified/improved
