I saw a guy here in AZ riding his gsxr with no helmet a t shirt, shorts and his helmet was strapped on the back of the bike....I'm like...really? I always ride with a helmet...aways have, always will.

Some friends of ours made their usual pre back to school beach trip to Myrtle Beach and were talking about how many folks were stopping at the state line and taking off their helmets to ride on down to the beach.
Brought up a good discussion that if your state didn't have a helmet law, how many would still wear your helmet?

michigan no longer has a helmet law. i wear mine every time i get on the bike. without exception.
i've said it before that people who ride without a helmet aren't leaving anything unprotected.
also, i don't ride in large groups, so if i ever found myself in one and i was the only one wearing a helmet, that's all the more reason to just stop for a few minutes and give them a head start. i don't wanna be any part of that...

Would it hurt if your bike was at a stand still and you fell off and hit your head? Of course. What about doing that and dragging your face at 50mph? Riding w/o a helmet is a slap in the face to everyone that cares about you.
Well, I just got out of the ER and I'm laid up in the hospital. My helmet saved my life again last night. I hit a deer going 60-70mph. Two of them ran out in front of me and I drilled one right in the side. I'm hurt but I will live. I probably wouldn't if I wasn't wearing my helmet. The bike is pretty messed up but I guess I'm lucky to survive. That's the second deer I've hit in 3 years.

Not really the point of the topic but,I would not be alive if I wasn't wearing a helmet during my crash in Topeka last summer. I spent 4 days in icu with a bad concussion and bleeding in my brain.
