hi, i just got a yoshimura full exhaust system and was wondering if i should wrp it with the fiberglass wrap, i bike is for race only, i ve seen some bikes using it, but don't know if it really helps or not
If you're dying to throw money at it you should get it ceramic coated... There are gains to be had, but I can't quantify those for you in horsepower numbers, or whether it's worth it or not. I would not wrap headers though.
I've considered doing it but read the wrap will hold in moisture and can rust stuff up. So if you wanna do it try ceramic coating, its the best way

Yup, a wrap will destroy titanium and it will rust steel. Not worth it on a bike. The only way I can see it is if you have a place where your plastics are super close or you keep hitting your piping with your leg or something.
thanks for all the answers, i was thinking of doing it because people here say i gets more power out of the engine, but i wasn't sure it was true, that's why i asked you guys!
The wrap just needs to be sealed. I like to use a silicone sealer vs the ceramic.
Ive heat wrapped ALL exhaust parts on my car on many occasions, did the wrap on a friends r1. noticeable difference.
I'd love to see some dyno print-outs from back-to-back runs on the same bike on the same day on the same dyno to show the actual power gained from this.. Because it's not that I don't believe you, but I just don't believe you.

I wasn't talking about performance gains ? I was talking about heat control.... maybe i should have clarified ?
