I forgot about deer I admit getting scared shitless when I see one in the road.

And them deer are f-ing crazy. They do scare me.
Sometimes it seems they sit in groups out in the woods by the road getting wasted; and when they hear a motorcycle, the dumbest one says "hold my beer guys and watch this".
I've had too many close calls through the years, and it must be just plain luck (in addition to practice and training) that I haven't hit one of them YET. They are all over around here.
If you don't respect the bike, it will eventually flick you off of it.. Regardless of how big your ego is, or how many years you've been "killin' the streets" with it.
You should never be scared of your bike! after my first crash i was scared of my bike and let me tell you something. Worst thing ever! you seriously ride tense and your always freaking out. you lock up way more and the simplest corners become dangerous.
It took me almost an year to get my confidence back and it felt great when i did. so advice to all, dont be scared. It will do more harm than you think. Respect the bike, dont fear it.
