Re: Another Wheelie Thread..

Check this video out:

It looks like he pulls up and clutches at the same time, anyone ever try this? In his older videos it seems like he just powers it up while yanking on the bars, looks a lot smoother than when I pull on the bars lol (which I'm trying to steer away from).

Yea he is good.. really? How did you find that out? I figured it was only a matter of time until someone merged in front of him while he was on one wheel..

Looks like he's clutching it under BP and throttling it up to BP.

Re: Another Wheelie Thread..

How come sometimes when I bounce 3rd gear standups with only -1 front sprocket the back wheel will wiggle sometimes? I refuse to let air out of my tires cause I like to corner, but sometimes you gotta do what feels right.

Seriously though, is it my uneven foot pressure for the bounce or me jerking the bars while gassing it?

when you see someone doing a wheelie and the back tire actually wiggles from left to right. Like a one wheeled tank slapper. I've seen it a ton of times when my other buddy used to be trying the same technique. I'm like 1 out of 3 are wobbling the rear tire if I bounce hard and go for it that way.

Please don't suggest the clutch. I refuse to use it like that. It only gets bitch slapped for race launches.

Edit: Wait, is wiggle not a real word? It's a wobble then. It looks WAY worse than it feels on the bike.

Weight shifting from side to side for steering correction and balance creating a wobble. lower tire pressure will probably help as the tire will have more contact thus "more stability". (as much stability can be had on 1 wheel)

I know what youre talking about its your tire pressure bro lower it and this will go away...good to practice that way you get used to it but its a lot harder to keep the bish stable lol
