Thanks
I like the yamahas flick-ability for the track, but their ergonomics are NOT comfortable for me on longer, street-type rides...also not a fan of where the factory power bands sit for street riding. That, and the new ZX10R is a pretty awesome ride since they redid it - makes the newest R1 overdue for an upgrade. I've ridden the newest bikes from both brands, and still prefer the Kawi liter for the street (and prefer a liter bike for the street, 600's fold me up too much and my knees get to screaming after a longish day).
Yamaha will be my bike of choice for the track though. Not having to work so much to get it leaned in is definitely a good thing for me in that environment!

The ZX10 makes the R1 look absolutely silly on the dyno, that's why I'd rock it

The ZX10s are beasts (my first gen is downright temperamental lol) - and play to one's stupid streak should it raise it's head
; the traction control and variable maps on the newer models make it strike out above the rest IMO. Even pushing that bike as much as I willing to on the street, once turned in it felt so freaking solid glued to the road - I haven't ridden the S1000RR to compare, but of the Japanese bikes I've ridden (Kawi, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki) it definitely outshines in the liter bike department. And the price tag is still competitive. Still has that Kawi thing about being a little bit of a cow on initial turn in, but I'm definitely a fan of the new ones.
