98-02 carb / jet question, need input

Hey guys, I am trying to figure out if part #12 in the diagram below (the tube that the main jet screws into) should have a hole all the way through.

All the small holes in the sides are clear, but if there is supposed to be a hole clear through from one end to the other, I don't have it. If there is, any suggestions as to how to get it cleared out? I have had them soaking in carb cleaner for 24 hours, have blown through with compressed air and poked with a piece of wire. I'm getting nowhere. Help!?

Alright, I'm assuming it's not FYI for future searchers. Going back together now, we will see.

If I remember correctly than nope. The hole sort of appears that it would go through but it doesn't.

no they have a screen though, you should see a little daylight. i boiled mine in water to clean them out. i bought new jets from jets are us .com they are super cheap. great deal.
