Oh I'm totally OK. Both hips got a little beat up but apparently Aeropostale jeans are built like a Nokia phone! lol Left calf is rashed a wee bit, and the gloves, jacket, and lid performed perfectly. I actually felt good when my lid started doing it's job...made me feel good about wearing gear (as good I as could feel at the moment) but that's one less Peter Lenz sticker that will be sported.
Other than that...not a scratch.
! Makes the bike a little small lookin', huh?!
And nah, Sammy...I think she's rebuildable. not really sure as I didn't have much of a chance to look at her before the sun disappeared. I limped her back to work, less than a mile away, and I'll deal with her after I get the police report.
Best I could figure it was just stupid me. I just left work...cold tires...definitely lost the front...going into a right hand sweeper. I'm not sure but I may have still had a finger on the front brakes. Basically, I initiated the turn, and she just fell over. I wasn't going fast, though, which makes me say cold tires.
Glad you're ok man!

****in' awesome. JR leather jacket, JR GPX gloves, and Shoei RF1k lid. Not a freakin' scratch from the waist up. My right hip took the initial brunt of the fall, and I had a backpack on so it kind of kept me on my right side which was fcvkin' killin' me so I finally convulsed my way to my left side and bumped up my left hip and little rash on my calf. All things considered...I've had worse injuries from my roller blading days!

See above.
Thanks, Stevo. But yeah...definitely lost the front. RPMs didn't spike, and she didn't come around at all. Just....fell. Such an idiot mistake, but oh well...I'm just glad I ain't hurt...bike'll get fixed and hopefully have some more goodies than before if I play my cards right.
Glad you're alright Joe! Sucks to see anyone go down, but glad you're alright... The initial pictures really didn't look TOO bad... course who knows... Sounds like the side it slid on was the side that was down in the pictures...
In the end, glad you're alright! The bike can be fixed, or replaced... You however, not so much!
