Yea, I only have the kit lens and the all plastic 50mm 1.8.....lol

If you're talking about the Nikon 50mm f/1.8G, that's my favorite lens out of my arsenal. It's definitely the one I use the most, and I do get very crisp shots with it. Here's an example:

I use the stock glass that comes with the Nikon D40 for most of my shots.
