TT in Hawaii?

We have no track in Hawaii... but!

I was wondering how much it would take to somehow get a TT happening in Hawaii, Perfect location. Tantalus.

Imagine a TT race once a year, at Tantalus! :O

I can only imagine how much financial backing it would take to make something like that happen. Especially travel costs for teams that wanted to compete... I don't see that happening on an island where there isn't even a road racing track, or fan base to warrant the expenses for having an event like that there... It'd be something you could research however and see whst you find... Like how the IOMTT began and all...

Good luck!

The Isle of man is a tradition an event supported by the island it's been around since the beginning of GP before it was deemed too dangerous. Hasn't it been around for over 100 years.

Yeah, somewhere in the 110 year range... I can't even imagine to logistics and costs that would even go into an event like this in Hawaii... Which is not to say it's impossible. But it would sure take a lot of people and financial backing to make happen...

Not sure what tantalus is but the few times I've been to Hawaii the roads where in rough condition. My brother keeps trying to get me to move out there, but I can't.

It is gorgeous, I'll say that! But I couldn't live there either... Gorgeous place to visit though... But if you ever wanted to do ANYTHING other then surfing really, you'd have to travel a few hour by plane... Which blows...

Exactly. I like the beach and the ladies but I couldn't live the beach life every day like my brother does. I hate flying to, I can't sit still long enough.

Isle of Man is an island that is near a continent... not floating in the middle of the Pacific, hours from anything else. Good luck though.
