My 09 does this too....super annoying. When warmed, she fires right up. My battery is brand new and is not the issue. Seems these bikes just take forever to crank over when cold...and when they do, they don't even cold choke! She limps up to 1500rpm and stays there Bike just doesn't feel "strong" when cold starting...feels like it's limping along from a long nap. My 08 CBR RR would fire up like a bat out of hell and cold choke itself 2000rpm until it was happy and warmed...not this R6
My 2008 R6 has a problem starting up, it takes a little while to turn over which annoys me, I have noticed other people on youtube seem to only have to wait for 2 of those ignition noises for the bike to turn over where as mine might take 5 or so?
The battery has been fully charged at the mechanics, is this something common with the bike or is it something I would need to replace?
No my bike doesn't start right away, that is someone elses, I ended up taking it back and getting a new battery put in because when I tried to start it the other day you could tell the battery sounded flat so that is all fixed now. Still takes about 5 times before it turns over and starts when cold but that seems normal, when its warm starts up right away where as before it didnt
