I picked up my new blue 2012 this afternoon! Got in out the door in Nor Cal from my local dealer for $10,500. I'm very VERY happy with the price. I almost gave the guy a hundred under the table I was so happy with that price. I may end up stoping by and giving him a 50.
I was convinced based on the e-mails I had been sending that dealer that they wouldn't come close to the price I wanted. So I first went the the next dealer south of my local dealer and after 20 minutes his best OTD price was $11,100.
So I hit my local dealer on the way home, figuring it would just be for shits and giggles and just asked, what can you do for that blue R1 OTD. After looking at some paperwork for a minute and a half, he said 10.5 OTD.
I said to myself "holy shit" and outloud said, yes I can do 10.5.
I've neen working non stop at work and around the house and havent slept in over 24 hours and I'm fried. If I can figure an easier way to move it around and get it into my kitchen, I should have it modded next Saturday night. I threw a few things on but I'm waiting till it's all finish up. Or I can buy a bigger space heater ha.
I swear these late models R6's are hands down the sexiest looking Japanese sport bikes to hit the road.
