!!!mod’s gone wrong!!!

Every now and then it seems like you get something in, put it on your bike and you don’t like.

You put something on that you did not like how it looked or fit. Added something that did not give you the performance increase that you wanted or worse, you get in over your head. eg( Engine Rebuild, Tearing down Forks...etc..)

Tell us your story????

Long time ago I rebuilt the top end in my yz 250f. Everything went fairly smooth. The cir clips that cane with the piston kit looked really cheap so I reused the old ones.
The rod and piston separated and destroyed the engine

Worse one on the r6 is the 05 header mod. The reducer they used is a lil bit to small so it has a exhaust leak and the can is lose fitting

Re: !!!mod’s gone wrong!!!

My R6 is mostly stock, not too many mods. My mistake was investing in unneeded visual mods instead of all the safety gear I have now much earlier. Wrong way to go on a learning curve for R6.

Re: !!!mod’s gone wrong!!!

05 headers + bazzaz mod on my 09. had to dig deep into my pockets and didnt really get what i was expecting. it was waay too loud and lost a liitle torque. the only difference i can tell is that the throttle is very smooth now.
