Re: QR6's '07 Budget Bike Build (Street)

Wow. Im impressed! Looks great.

I was reading your posts back from April, and you were saying that it was too hot to ride. I spent the summer down in Phoenix. I was riding in through July and August! (It was pretty darn hot, especially on I-10).

Also, I think that Krypton makes (or made) the best projectors of all time. If he didn't destroy himself, I would put a set back on my bike.

Thx! I love 06-07's. I'm perfectly happy with my bike and the new bikes coming out look like crap! Especially the '13 CBR 600RR

LOL, I don't think I'm gonna fake the funk like that! It's a cheap exhaust that sounds good. I'm not complaining.

Thanks! The one thing I don't like about the MGP Growler is how the slip on's pipe narrows down to the mid-pipe. I'm trying to fab something up to cover that area around the exhaust clamp. What you see is what I had left over from my stock slip on after I shortened the internals. I just placed it there to see if I want to use it as a sort of heat shield / cosmetic cover. I also plan on painting the pipe black.

Thanks for the compliment! Well i did ride a few of those days, but I'm the type of rider that always gears up. Riding in 105+ degrees with gear on sucks! These Krypton projectors are nice. I got a good deal on this set too.

Thats the exhuast I want on my 07, Im currently running the 05 header mod and a jardine gp1, which sounds awesome at idle but its just insanely loud when riding. Also is that a heat shield where it mounts to the y pipe?

Sick bike btw.

Re: QR6's '07 Budget Bike Build (Street)

Figured I put all these sound clips in one post for those searching.

1. Stock slip-on with stock header

2. Hotbodies Megaphone with stock header

3. Shortened stock slip-on with stock header

4. Shortened stock slip-on with MJS mid pipe

5. MGP Growler with MJS mid pipe

Bike is sick man. Great work. Should invest in a tst industries fender eliminator though. The plate would be in the same spot, just look a little cleaner. Only like 25 bucks too

Thanks man! Yes, I'm trying to make my own heat shield for the exhaust since I don't like looking at the exhaust clamp. That's just some scrap I had in the garage that I might use.
