Bikes are a different story since they are not subject to mandatory smog. It also used to be 2 years old OR 7500 miles until they ran into a lot of people buying leftover dealer stock out of state and registering them here with zero miles while trying to dodge the state sales tax, or at least a portion of it.

But you could call around and you might find a more sympathetic DMV. I cant tell you that you should do this, but I know they are out there, but I cant exactly tell you which ones, as that would be pretty much violation the terms of my employment at CARB.

Really, the numbers and the 50 state sticker are the big ones, well, at the reg fees. They want your money most of all.
