As some of you know I'm in the air force, and I've been at a crossroads lately with my ex and my future. I've decided to try my hand at the air force special forces.
I have about 6 months before my 4 year mark and I'll be using this time to train and prepare myself as best I can for the 50 week training that will come if I'm accepted.
My current workout:
- 100 pull-ups in as few sets as possible Run 1/4 mile in 90 seconds in between sets of pull-ups
- 200 pushups in as few sets as possible Run 1/4 mile in 90 seconds in between sets of push-ups
- 300 sit-ups in as few sets as possible Run 1/4 mile in 90 seconds in between sets of sit-ups
I'll be striving to complete this by the end of month three.
Day 1: 31 pullups, 82 sit ups, 1.4 miles, 30 mins.
Got a long way to go, but this is after a 2 month hiatus from the world to include the gym.
I don't know too much about the military or the training but of what I've studied regarding that sort of thing I would first and foremost have a very clean diet. It will give you that extra endurance. Just consistency and proper diet will get anyone into whatever shape they want that's the great thing about fitness. Good luck

Thanks man, I'm pretty big into fitness as is and know I will need to crack down on everything in my life in order to complete it. Appreciate the words of encouragement.

I appreciate it man. I'm way behind where I thought I was physically, hopefully I'll be acclimated quickly.
I feel you man, I'm in the same boat Like the other guy said though, biggest thing is your diet. Also try to build up, you don't wanna hurt yourself or nothin
The hardest part of Combat Control school is ATC school. I've met so many people over my 6 1/2 years that could meet the physical requirements fine, but couldn't pass ATC school, which is kind of the main point of Combat Control. Start researching ATC so you don't get caught off guard when they throw 9 months of school at you after indoc. Good luck friend.
