Thanks man.
I'm going to solder the resistor and diode into a bread board so its a bit cleaner, with no possibilities of shorting.
I'll post pics soon.
I just did my 11 R1 and that was the color combo on mine...Love this mod! Had to add a load resistor on each side parallel across the black and turn signal wires to slow down the blink rate, but it works great.
Thanks for the awesome how-to...Works great! I was disappointed when I got my PL flush mounts in and they didn't function as running lights...On top of that they caused the integrated tail light turn signal to go way too fast. This how-to plus a load resistor fixed everything up. Thanks again!
Can you post a diagram of how you added the load resistor, and is there any special type of load resistor to use? I'm having the exact same prob. on my 11 R6. I have the integrated tail light, and with the new led fronts, they blink way to fast....
Thx for the help
I'll have to check what the specs were on the ones I got from Radio Shack. They are the cement type load resistors...About $3 a piece. Just wire them in parallel with your blinker wires. I can't find the original forum where the diagram was...go figure.
That would be awesome if you could get the specs
on the exact type of load resistor and that diagram
would help alot also... Thanks for help, I didn't really
want to have to change the flasher relay when the
problem could be solved cheaper..
