I'm in talks with a colleague to get his 2011 R1. Its crashed (at T-Hill), dont know the extent of the damage. He says its all cosmetic and just rashed up fairings. It was good enough for him to ride it back home after the crash. Will take a look at it soon and if the price is right, Imma get it as a project.
He's a bit on the edge....riding to T-Hill from south bay area, crashed it, and rode it back home (thats over 3hr drive one way)

I can second, third, and fourth that ECU flash! My bike performed flawlessly at the track this past weekend and pulled like a freight train!

I know a couple shops, one who sponsors an AMA rider getting rid of S1000RR and upgrading to the ZX-10's. Apparently, they're tits! Just food for thought... If you're looking for a 1000...

ECU takes 2 mins to pull out brutha... As for the R1, if that's the case. I'd fix it up and flip it. Make a solid profit and use that for upgrades or just tires and trackdays. If it really is just cosmetic. You can pick up a set of fairings relatively cheap and turn around and sell that thing.
Best of luck whatever you do. I know if/when I pick up a 1000 for the track, I'll be lookin at the new CBR or ZX-10's... Course I'm sure I'll be happy on a 600 for the next couple years on the track. Then possible upgrade to a 1000. No real rush, I want to be a better rider before I make the jump. Then prob drag both to the track...
