I never ride in the rain, I spray my bike with quick detailer every two weeks lol I like it shiny :O WD40 on the rims. Wipe it down after so not as much dirt gets attracted easily.

+1 on the WD-40 for the wheels. It kicks serious azz for wheel grim and brake dust.

WD-40 as well. I learned that trick from the forum. Works awesome!

over the past 7 years, i've owned 3 different bikes. i remember washing each bike 1 time. first one was the day before i sold it. second one was after i had an early season ride and found some mud and water. third was right before i removed the street fairings in order to fit the race fairings. that was 2 years ago. i ended up selling the street fairings after that.

i wipe off the rear wheel when i lube the chain and get a little overspray on it, but that doesn't really count. sometimes i take a magic eraser and scrub the dead bugs off the tank and the front fairing. that's about it.

mostly, i'd rather just spend my time riding it...

Simple green seems to work well on wheels. As for the bike, I just use Golds car wash soap.

But I don't wash The Panty Dropper anymore. It's all beat up meow.
