Re: First impressions: BAUCE Racing ECU flash

ECU flash is MONEY!

Had mine at the track for the first time since getting it back. God damn that thing hauls some arse! I was gaining on EVERY 600 on any stretch. Course I'm also getting better at this track thing and driving out hard. But God damn that ECU flash is worth every God damn penny! Get dat chit done in "your" off season!

It will make a difference.

Wait till you ride it and go wide open at an early RPM when you would never have had full throttle before. The intake noise is easily doubled! I had a customer text me asking if it was possible my flash made his exhaust note and bike sound difference. The answer was HELL YES!!!

Yes, the air filters do make a difference. If you don't have one and get a flash, I request that you remove the restrictor from your air filter at least. This is enough increase in air flow to allow all the WOT settings as well as earlier change over of the YCCI throttle bodies on the 08+ models.

So yes, it does make a difference, but the difference between an OEM filter without restrictor and a K&N isn't TOO much. OEM without restrictor to BMC you will notice it's higher flowing as well. But to really make the flash work the best, I hope you have an air filter or at least remove your snorkel.

Once flashed and you goto an aftermarket filter, the bike will probably just breath better. Technically it will effect the AFR and lean the bike a little bit, but the tune and mapping I use is on the rich end of the spectrum to make it smooth as butta

It's amazing watching the bike FLY to redline after the flash!!! It's so easy to hit rev limit now tho!
