There's down time when you can clean your bike.... You're just to lazy and a dirty human being. I ride the shit out of my bike and still find time to give her a good detail at least once a week... i find i can spend my time doing more enjoyable things then cleaning my bike or truck. thankfully i make the car wash guy at my work clean my truck, my bike is a track whore thats usually cleaner then most bikes out there (pre wrecks) and my girl well theres a pic floating around the respect thread so ill let you be the judge
Chain cleaner on a cloth is the chain lube is heavy on the wheel. Otherwise goo gone on a rag will remove it from the wheels. I usually use goo gone on my wheels. It's fascinating how well it works on everything!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS0Wg4NCwNI

i don't ride in the rain. at least, i haven't in the last several years. still don't give a shit how clean/dirty it is.
i wash my car fairly regularly. but, i drive it every day and in the rain and in the snow.
there's down time, but i don't use it to clean the damn bike, cuz i just don't care that much about it being a little dirty.
i do admit that i'm not a very good housekeeper. oh well...
i'm not one of those dudes who needs a clean bike to attract a fresh piece of ass. i actually have a personality that does it quite well. it's damn sure not my pretty face, after all...
