Heard this was a good place to come if I had questions or anything. But I just got a 2008 R6 a couple days a go. I am new at riding and just want to know a couple important stuff I need to know about my bike. Like maintenance wise and what type of gas is best for the bike. Thanks
-Oil changes every 3k (most people flow that)....
-Clean,lube and check slack on the chain every 600-1000 miles or after riding in the rain.
-use 91 octane (required)
-and other little things that you learn a out as you go through the years.

No, you can ride her in the rain 24/7 with no issues. If it has extensive lightning mods (ex: led's) I'd go over the wiring and make sure it's all weather proof. Last thing you need is for your bike to have a short somewhere lol.

do yourself a favor and get some proper instruction before you land on your head. the r6 is not a good beginner bike...
