I believe the passenger ones are a little shorter...but I cant say for sure. Just try it?

I wouldn't cheap out on that peg. I had to replace mine as well and thought it was a good idea to do cheapo china pegs but I ended up going to a dealer and just ordering a factory peg for $40. The assembly from a dealer comes riveted already so all you need to do use an allan key from the back side of the rear set to get it off.
All of this is extremely minor as far as damage is concerned. Excellent choice buying frame sliders, because that's exactly what they're for. eBay is your friend right now. Levers, pegs, etc are super cheap. You really should consider renting a garage at your complex.
Do like I do and sit on your bike with a shotgun every once in a while. Fcukin kids will learn to fcuk off. The only problem I have in my apts is cats spraying on my bike. Fcukin stinks when I start that mofo up

I would put an alarm lol. I know there's some alarms that alarm when someone goes near your bike within a few feet or so. Best would be getting your own garage/storage place but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to be spending that amount of money.

That sucks man. I'm so glad I can ride my bike right into my apartment on the first floor. That really sucks about the foot peg, because the right one is a PITA to replace. It's held in by a rivet, unlike the left, which is a bolt and pin. Good thing you had frame sliders though. I wouldn't even worry about replacing the mirror or lever. Chances are this or something similar will happen again. Definitely don't claim something this small on insurance.

Technically, frame sliders are designed to protect the frame. They just happen to also give some protection to the fairings. It's not their sole purpose by any means though.
