GP exhaust or no exhaust?

Iam thinking of taking the current exhaust i have right now which is an scorpion long can and it doesnt sound so loud iam thinking of either taking it off or it getting a cheap gp exhaust from ebay. would anything bad happen if i take the exhaust off or if i put the gp exhaust in the long run?

Re: GP exhaust or no exhaust?

you need some sort of back pressure, why not start with cutting your slip on you have a bit shorter? there are plenty of write ups on here that explain the process. you will gain some desired sound and it should cost you much if anything at all.

Re: GP exhaust or no exhaust?

I took off the muffler from my old 99 back when I was in college just for grins and giggles for 15 minutes or so.

My buddies knew exactly where I was on campus from 1/2 a mile away. People were covering their ears on the sidewalk as I rode by. It's loud.

Buy a 06+ shorty exhaust and fit it up. Much louder. Looks and sounds good.

I have the 06-09 Level One Racing exhaust which sounds amazing. Other good shorty exhausts include the Delkevic (seach in Chiefsmokedawgs thread).
