Meant, proven round...

I'd have to agree with all of the above...I'd like to think I've have a nice steady hand but I haven't gone any further than 300yard with a precision long range rifle (tikka); still a work in progress.

Interesting, I've not looked into the availability to each round to be honest; thought they would each be equally hard to find, but yeah, I learned something...:
Yeah, its different pretty much everywhere unless you get your ammo online. And those odd calibers are more expensive to shoot for sure.

No doubt. The biggest I saw was about 650 iirc, but it was a big fcuker for sure. My friend raises hogs and you are right, a 250lb hog will ruin your day without even noticing.

If you wanna shoot them, I hear a small jar of peanut butter with holes in it, wrapped in a cheap ass aged (rotten) chuck steak will bring them in enough to ventilate them, but a little bucket of antifreeze will do the same damage if you wanna be fcuked up about it, but then, that will kill anything that drinks it.

Some dogs will usually keep them away. They are scavengers not fighters.

Lay some meat out on a perch they cant reach. Go oUT at night with some friends and wait for them. Bring a predator call to speed things up. Once you get a few of them everyone at once starts shooting.

Trap them in a cage.

hang a meat hook at 4.5ft with some meat and they will hang themselves

Re: any hunters on here?

I dunno man, there are coyotes Ive heard of out here that are poaching peoples cats and smaller dogs....

Either way, though, they aren't all that hard to bring in or kill.

Well ye small animals for sure. But a few bigger dogs usually work around here. after a while they do get comfortable with the dogs if they are in a pin. We have issues with coyotes trying to fcuk with the chickens.

I dont believe in antifreeze either, I was just saying its an option... A really fcuked up one, and one that kills anything that drinks it.

We're working on a hog solution out at my dads land. With him bein a doctor I think he's just gonna splurge and get a night vision/thermal hybrid sight, then just walk around at night with an IR laser on his rifle.
