im doing both actually. i am keeping him in a crate inside, and then when he has to go do his business, he starts clawing at the cage door. so i take him to the weewee pad outside. i got them cheap so i was like why not. crate training FTW! sometimes when im not at home i let him roam about and he actually only made one mess while i wasnt at home. the others were on the pad
