What are you talking about, have you even looked into local track days?
Im from Edmonton and do track days at Stratotech Park in Fort Sask, which is a great track just 10min outside the city limits. Also, Calgary has Race City which is another decent track.
Shiet, theres tracks all over the place in western Canada. You just arent even trying to find them.

Coming in late to the discussion.....but I hate you. I have wanted a Duc since I saw the 999 on the cover of a magazine. 848 is an awsome looking bike, but IMO the 1199 is the best looking bike made. Hand down. If you can do it, go for it.
Re: ducati 848evo or panigale or stay with the 6??
so im 99% sure im going with the 1199 saw it in person and just wow!! rode around and thing just moves!! the mv felt good as well but like i suspected way to uncomfortable...the 1199 felt really good perfect height and everything
my next question is whether or not to get the base or the 1199s.....i talked to a few pani owners while i was there one had the base and the other had the s...both said the s wasnt worth the extra money...they said unless youre going to be going to the track every other weekend the electronic suspension isnt worth the extra money...they also said its going to cost a lot to replace suspension parts once the warranty expires....now im stumped ive been looking at pani forums and ive been reading a lot of people who agree the base is a better buy for normal riders not track junkies

I'm kinda of a snob that way... most of my Ducs have been R models... but you can probably get a base model with 30mm NIX cartridges that would more than give the electronic suspension on the S/R models a run for their money for a lot less $$$...
