Pit bike

I just traded for a Honda 50 pit bike. I traded an Icon jacket for it, guu said it wouldn't run, so I figured what the hell, I haven't used the jacket in over a year, and I could use a project.

It wouldn't start, so I took the carb off and BAM, the floats were on upside down. So i cleaned it up and installed it properly, and started on the first kick.

Now the problem......it idles fine but when you hit the throttle ot hangs on high revs for a few seconds then comes back down to idle.

Any ideas on what to adjust, I'm a jackass whn it comes to carbs.

Bitchin, it's a tiny little motard from the looks of it!

As for the issue, you check the throttle, throttle cables and all? Make sure the throttle is free of debris, and the cables aren't freighed and getting hung up... Does the throttle even stick? Or it stays high RPM with throttle back to original position?

Bike: some stupid ones
Re: Pit bike

It could be the slide sticking, the cables being junk, or even a vacuum leak. You can take some starting fluid and spray it between the carb and the head on the intake manifold on the outside while its running. If its leaking, the engine will speed up as you get to the leak with starting fluid. I would take the carb apart, make sure the slide works properly and the throttle slide return spring in the top of the carb arent bound or missing.

Slide didn't seem to feel like it was sticking, I'm leaving for Nashville in the morning, so I'll have to take it apart again Monday.

Yeah this thing is sick, those are Dunlops on it, and it has the 88cc big vote kit on it.

Almost ate shit when I rode it today after starting it, started revving high, the clutch engaged and almost looped it. First thing I did after that was look around to see who saw me, lol.

Thanks guys I'lltry all of your suggestions. Thanks again.
