So about those chargers.... I think Rivers is going for a record on how many interceptions can be thrown before the fans kill him. so far 14 and he's still alive....

But hey at least we beat the gayders!

He's not confident, he's not young, he's damaged goods, and the fans just dont like him. I mean its not like the guy did anything other than get hurt to lose his job, but then, we need to think about the future, and his contract is coming up, so how long do we want to be smoking off the Smith pipe? I don't think he has what it takes and while Kaep is young and prone to make mistakes, he is exciting to watch, he has been playing well, he's tough, he's confident, and I actually think he carries himself like the team leader. The fans seem to like him, so does the team. I think he is a good choice for the future, maybe, but the middle of the season when your current starting quarterback is still doing decent probably isnt the time or place to evaluate that premise. And while I dislike Smith, I feel bad for the guy on some level. Right when he starts playing decent-ish, he gets kicked to the curb.

My guess is that Kaep's leash will be short because we cant lose to the fcuking sorry ass Rams. Lack of production or an int. and Smith is going in. And you can almost guarantee Smith will come in hot. He has to, and not just for the Niners. He is fighting for his job, and ultimately, a contract with whatever team picks him up after he jumps shit on his bullshit situation. As much as it pains me, I know Alex has the experience in the playoffs, so Kaep continuing to do well will either be all win or a big loss, at least for this season, and this season we have a shot, no doubt.

Now if Akers could just make some fcuking field goals.... Really though....
I always wanted Smith gone since about the second year. Hell many QBs show flashes of greatness if they are going to be good. Smith had what one TD versus 11 interceptions as a rookie??? Not good at all, sure the coaching has sucked for the most part excluding Harbaugh of course. Despite playing decent of late, Smith still can't throw the deep pass, can't anticipate receivers, and is iffy under pressure. He's a dink and dunker, and plays scared, doesn't want to make the mistakes he knows he will probably make if he tries to make something happen downfield.
He's done decent lately, and I applaud his perseverance with the 49ers, but his ceiling is low compared to CK7. Smith is a class act, a cool guy, but isn't the QB of the future for the 49ers. Hopefully CK7 plays good from here to end (including playoff time), we 49er fans have been waiting too long for the next great signal caller wearing the 49er jersey ala Montana or Young. I am eager to see them win a Superbowl again, hope CK7 is the one to help get there.

IDGAF about football much anymore, but I definitely LOL'd HARD when the Packers got their asses handed to them by the Giants, and we all lost count of how many times Rodgers got sacked.
