From what I can tell, I would need to use the pipe expander on pipe inside the can itself. Is the doable or is welding the only option?

OK, it's on. Expanded the pipe and then used a clamp. I like the way it looks but OMG is it loud. Are they all the volume of the GYTR? I guess I am so used to my full-sized Yosh that the tone and volume is a bit to take in.

I want to answer your question but I don't understand it.

Sorry. I am just wondering if the GYTR is considered much louder than other slip-ons (like the leo vince, akra, yosh, etc).

I am just really surprised at how much louder this stubby is than my full sized yosh that I had on.

Some of the nerds here can break it down for you but I'll just dumb it down. Your full Yoshi has more baffling in it. Thus why it is quieter.

Yeah, I figured that was the reason for the stubby vs the yosh I had. What about the difference in different brand stubbys?

Has anyone done this with the Leo Vince yet?

Re: Any 06+ R6r stubby exhaust for 03-05 R6 or R6s

if it matters to anyone, i had my 05 dyno'd and tuned this summer.

By the end of the tuning i had 99hp peak (dont have the sheets handy, so i cant really help with any other numbers). Thats true rear wheel horsepower (not the claimed 120hp in other threads), but has an 08 stock pipe, pcIII, bmc "race" filter, block offs and a 520 -1/+2 (thats all i can think of).

Bike is a lot smoother through the rpm range, and has slightly better fuel economy. I'd recommend getting a tune to anyone, its a lengthy wait to get into the guy around me, i had my appointment booked about 2.5 months in advance. But again it was well worth it.

Nice! Drop in a +4 ignition advanced rotor and you'd pick up another 2HP

Re: Any 06+ R6r stubby exhaust for 03-05 R6 or R6s

Simple question:

If you have no immediate plans to get an ECU/reflash, PowerCommander or Juicebox, and had the 06+ R6 stubby exhaust can for free, would you remove your stock exhaust and pay to have someone install/correctly fashion the 06+ can on there?

Or would you hold out on installing it until you purchased a PC (or other fuel remap)?
