A little Background
This is my third bike. I started on a 99 Suzuki GSXR 600 SRAD and rode that for about a year. Then I sold it and bought a 2003 CBR 600 RR which I sadly totaled in August of 2008. So I ended up getting a sweet deal on this 2001 R6 about 2 weeks ago.

It had been street fightered.





First thing we did was break the bike down just to make sure everything was running right and to clean the carbs out.




And this is a reason why.



Second thing I did was pull out the heat gun and pull about 90% of the stickers off of the bike.



This thing had stickers from everything (even a Volkswagen sticker on the undertail to about 5 or 6 Monster stickers)

Update Monday 11/26

My friend and I got the carbs out and pulled them apart.







Was originally only going to just clean them but since the bike was apart I decided to go ahead and do a stage 1 jet kit.

Update Saturday 12/1

I got the Jet Kit and the airfilter in on Friday. So on Saturday we got to work and got a few things done which included the jet kit installed, the airfilter installed, a tune up, a coolant flush, and getting the rest of the stickers off.

I had thought about it but probably not. Its faded pretty bad and I havent decided if I am going to go white or stay with the color fairings that I ordered.

Update 12/5

So I get home from work today and guess what? I got mail!

I got one box out of the two Rocky5000100 mailed me



And in it contained...









Now to just decide if I am going to paint the tank red or black to try and match or just to paint the whole thing

Sorry for the lack of update (been working a lot recently)


Anyways, I got my fairings in from Rocky

So I go to put the fairings on to check fitment I find


And



Luckily my friend has the tools to fix them.


So after taking the subframe off I sanded down the frame, tank, and rear hugger to prep them for paint. These are the after pictures during the paint process..





After the paint and clearcoat dried we put the fairings on.







Other little things we did was hook up license plate lights, rewire the headlights, and put new grips on.
