About TrackTactics...

TrackTactics Trackdays returns to NOLA Motorsports Park for the first time in 2013. Help us kick off the beginning of the year at Nola Motorsports Park by joining us for what will certainly be a great event.

Our experienced staff will help you with all aspects of riding. You will learn proper and safe body position, heavy braking going into turn 1, trail braking into all corners and smooth throttle application out of the corner. In addition, we will break the track down and show you turn by turn where you need to be at all times. Finally, at lunch time we have scheduled an on track “track drive” and demonstration so you can see and hear how AMA racers setup and attack different sections of the track.

The instruction will be led by former AMA racer and current CMRA Number 1 plate holder, Ty Howard. Ty is the Southeast Regional Manager as well as the lead instructor for the Southeast region of TrackTactics. Ty has spent more than 30 years in the motorcycle racing industry. During those years becoming an expert level racer in flat track, motocross, offroad, supermotard and roadracing. All these disciplines require the same basic techniques to become successful.

Over this span of years racing Ty has enjoyed numerous victories and successes. After earning AMA Dirt Track National number 35, Ty shifted gears to the roadracing circuits. Along the way winning multiple WERA National Sprint and Endurance races, CMRA sprint and endurance regional titles, 3 time CMRA overall expert, and setting 13 track records nationwide. Ty spent a few seasons in the AMA finishing the seasons in the top 10 all three years while also winning 7 AMA Sports National Championships. Ty was the lead rider for the only 2 time DMG Moto-ST Championship winning team Lloyd Brothers Motorsports. During the 2010 season Ty went down in history by going undefeated winning 30 straight races.

Ty began teaching roadracing lessons and schools in 1998. Since then he has taught over 2400 students most notable instructing an AMA Supersport champion, multiple AMA Sports Champions and 3 AMA Horizon Award Winners.

Ty will lead our experienced staff of instructors in all levels. The format at this event will be a little different from our past events at NOLA Motorsports Park. Regardless if you are new to motorcycle riding or an accomplished club racer instruction will be made available to you at no additional cost. You will learn proper and safe body position, heavy braking setup going into turn 1, trail braking into all corners and smooth throttle application out of the corner. In addition, we will break the track down and show you turn by turn where you need to be at all times. Finally, at lunch time we have scheduled an on track “track drive” and demonstration so you can not only see but hear how expert racers setup and attack certain sections of the track.

The following is a video of the inaugural Texas 3T event in September 2012.

This event guarantees to be a Track Day experience you will not forget. So join us for a weekend of riding, learning and laughs.

Sincerely,

The 3T Team

Considering I just did 4 days for $396, that is a bit pricey.

I can speak from experience about Track Tactics. I've rode with two other organizations other than Track Tactics and right off the bat, I felt Track Tactics was much more professional in the way they ran their days, classrooms, and sessions. Not to mention, we had Ty Howard lead the classroom sessions (at least for level 3) and the track drive. Who better to teach than the man himself setting track records? Also best track drive EVER. He would have all of us drive around the track, stop, and watch two AMA racers take the turn.
