What do you just have some sort of cold with the climate/season changing? That's never fun... I don't get sick often, MAYBE once a year... if that. When I do though, I'm out for the count... I get really sick when I do manage to get sick... Luckily it doesn't happen all that often...
some sort of upper respiratory or sinus infection likely. i used to get them all the time befor i had nose surgery. this is like the first time ive been sick in the past year, but its a blower. no energy, chest burns, cough and sneeze all day\night. ive been knocking myself out with advil pm so i can sleep. this weekend ill got to either my doctor or an urgent care type place so i can get antibiotics to sort it out.
I hear ya on the morning thing. If I had any sort of discipline and I'd get up at like 6am and knock out 20-30 miles instead of the the little 8 mile sprint to work - which I can only manage to get myself to do once or twice a week. Once I get going I'm stoked to be up and outside and pedaling, but the process of getting going is awful.
You said it, it's finding the motivation...
As for the pool, I can't do laps in the pool out back, nor will the cost of heating it over the next couple months warrant how much I'd actually be in it... Heating that pool during these cooler months runs $800-$1000 more each month...

I wish I could spend more time with you fellas. Hope everyone is doing good!
Well that downright sucks... Glad to see you on a bit at least... I've been doing quite well myself. Wrapping up this semester, ready to get back to the track already. Course I'll prob wait till March when it's starting to get a bit warmer out... I was out there for a race weekend in November and it was CHILLY... Don't care to run the bike on a cold track and risk wrecking it again...

Damn, that blows brutha... I could prob score you a Z-pack... That shit fixes everything!
It's like an antibiotic pack on steroids! You'd feel better 2nd, maybe 3rd day... Those things work wonders!
Yeah I'm itching to get back on the track too. I've been working on a movie for our local guys (using a ton of track video) and watching that shit is killing me! Lol
I'll likely be back on the track in late April/early May.

It completely slipped my mind that just because we don't have seasons, that doesn't mean it's always outdoor unheated pool weather.
ie, swimming when it's 60 degrees out is not all that pleasant.
