Yeah, I've heard The best day as a boat owner is the day it's sold. Everyone wants a friend with a boat, because nobody wants the headache and drain on the wallet...
My bud had a bitchin 21' wakeboarding boat, we always had a blast out wakeboarding on that thing... When we were too drunk to board, out went the two man tube and King of the mountain and luz ensued... I got knocked out cold gettin flipped off that thing after hitting some wake. My bud said I was at least 15' in the air before landing head first, backwords in the water... Came too on deck after they fished me out of the drink...
Oh yeah! I grew up on the water. Did a lot of wake boarding over the years...broke some ribs, blew out my knee, and just plain got beat up.
I can't afford a kick ass wake board boat so I picked up a 21' Hawaiian with a built small block and i/o. Put about 2500 watts of sound in it and all new flooring. Now I just go out and crank the tunes and chill. I'm too old to beat myself up these days.

You just have to find someone that's got some equipment and start playing around. I got into machining about 15 years ago and picked up on the welding so I could build my own stuff... I'm lucky enough to be able to use the shop I work at any time I want. We repair steam turbines so a little car stuff here and there is nothing for the equipment we have.

I hear ya man. I've blown out both knees, both ancles, yanked my thumb out of socket twice, broke both my elbows, broke my foot in three place, compressed two vertibra and fracrured another, broken 2 ribs, and had 7" of my shin bone removed because of a freaking disease that was eating my dang bone.
I'm 36 now and feel bad for my chick if she stays with me till I reach 50. She's gonna have to help me just to get off the couch at the rate I'm going.

Comes with The territory tho... I'm lookin To get my monies worth Out of this life... So if later down The line gramps(me) is a little slow, I'll have endless storiez To tell The grand kids... Between snowboarding, scuba diving, dirtbiking and quads, Sportbike's, cars, and everything else I've wrecked, old lacrosse injuries, deployment injuries, etc etc... I've got a story for everything...
