thanks again Max for posting up all these pics
Kimi's first bike is called the Iceman... something to do with his nickname... he looks kind of familiar... I think he used to race Ferrari's or something...

MotoGP is having a hard enough time filling the grid due to lack of teams having enough money. Sponsors have pulled back, and money is getting difficult to find. So the fewer sponsors should be willing to pay more for greater overall exposure how? You do realize they don't get to design the bike graphics other than the real estate they paid for, right? And Cecchinello has a different business model when it comes to soliciting sponsors...

I mean that's true too, on the other end of the continuum-- Get a shitload of sponsors each paying a little bit and you [probably] end up with the same money... I just saying that it doesn't look as aesthetically pleasing to have a sticker-bombed bike on the grid.

From my experience (and that of the dick head sales people that I come across), it's the exact opposite. It could be true that the, ''hey, never seen this before, what's this all about'' approach does somewhat work, but the trick is consistency. As in, ''in your face at all times''.
That's what makes advertising actually WORK in the grand scheme of things. Not just something to be interested in, and then forget the name a few hours later.
Trying to create a recognizable brand, and not just an ill placed logo here or there.
Did I just go on a rant and completely forget the actual point of something, here?

For a guy that runs probably the least-funded satellite team in MotoGP, I'm gonna guess that Cecchinello knows what he is doing...
Keep in mind that LCR's main sponsor can change from race to race, unlike other teams... Playboy Italia, Elf, Linear, Givi, Rizoma, and Doctor Glass bikes all look different depending on who is the main sponsor for that particular round...

Doesn't get much more Hardcore than this... BST carbon wheels, Öhlins Superbike Forks, top shelf Walz-branded Brembo calipers, carbon rotors... these items alone would buy you a few R6's... excuse me while I go in a cold shower right now...
