Tornado Tre started as a 900... Both triples... So promising, cool radiator set up, edgy styling, but sadly never did well...
It sounded great, had torque for days, and the fans in the tail were an interesting touch ... but the thing that I remember more than anything is that it was impossible to get in to neutral, gave me several false neutrals in the hour or so I was on it, and the one time I managed to get it into neutral at a light, I couldn't get the damn thing back in gear again.
The center of the seat was angled up in the center so it was basically buttfcuking you too. My friend who owned it rode it from Buffalo, NY to Windsor, CT and said it wasn't all that bad. It would certainly not be my touring bike of choice.

I briefly considered pulling the trigger on one, until the Chinese acquisition. I come across them now and then on the cheap. But the support infrastructure is so poor that I'd almost be afraid to ride it.

Let me get a review if you don't mind. I enjoy shooting them off from time to time but it's not very much fun with my PA459; it's really light so you really feel the recoil, honestly, I could only shoot 10 than start bitching and switch to 8-9 shot buck.
I'm looking into a Remington 870 in Atacs for slugs because it's big and heavy but then I think it's sort of stupid to get a shotty just for one ammo type.
Hey, hey, easy tiger, I'm on your side; I'm not one for borrowing someone else's ride or bike for this very reason...Not that I don't have the means to repay or what not, I simply don't even want to be put or put someone else in that position...Pretty much all of what you said.
And I know what your talking about; I've had friends owe me cash but somehow have the cash to go out during the week, buy weed, buy beer, and all that...Then, I'm the asshole for demanding my cash after I see all that shit going down.
