Well there are a few schools of thought regarding the sliders. I personally have the small Woodcraft ones that barely protrude from the body. They do NOTHING to save your plastics, but they do make bent bars and levers less likely, as well as mangled exhausts. The big sliders or the "no-cut" bullshit people use are (in my opinion) very bad. They usually dig in while the bike slides off track and start flipping it end over end. Yard sale style, pieces flying off it as it tumbles. And the "no-cut" ones just bend that dumb bracket or shear off.
So that's that. But anyway a mangled exhaust can doesn't affect anything other than appearance. And to me, that potentially busted appearance would be better than the always-ugly sliders. If you crash hard enough to bend pipes, sliders aren't going to be saving anything.
Oh, and for real... If you're worried about potentially scratching a nice new Termi because it cost you a lot, you'll probably have been better with some GYTR or other lower-end exhaust so you could have used the money elsewhere (and you won't give a f**k when it crashes). Not trying to be a Negative Nancy, I'm just really trying to let you floss that awesome exhaust. Exhaust sliders are the opposite of that MotoGP-look you're going for (a blue and matte grey 50th anni livery would be awesome). Along those lines (aesthetics), I also want to make all those sliders and swingarm pieces black. The bodywork on race bikes is painted. The mechanicals and details are raw, black, etc. No color-matching here.

To finish off my fantastic week I think I caught bird flu.
IDK about anyone else, But I have had full blown hallucinations! Waking up and seeing a Bobcat in my bed I wanted to scream, but my throat was so sore it sounded more like Micheal Jackson crying for help.
Later that night I went to brush my teeth and saw a ****ing totem pole in my bathroom. Ether I was tripping balls on a whole new level I never dare dream of OR children Dimetapp has more kick than they let on! May have to drag my ass to the Cherokee nation and ask them am I on a Vision quest? or Do I need to go on one? Granted I don't believe in it, but tradition and all.... Also I could use some good news maybe a wolf will show up and tell me the winning lotto numbers?

But all Jokes aside I think I did poison myself with nightquil. I know what you are thinking. "How the hell do you do that" Well I did 5 shots of nightquil in an Hour... Later after reading the warning label it said something like.

Instead of replying to text messages from vapid party girls. I decided to spend time on the bike. By DIY'ing my own paint on the ETI sliders save myself 75+ dollars to have it done at a shop.
The right side appears to have been in a crash... Oh well explains the deal.
After hours of sanding I am now close to being ready for paint. Almost as good as new!
